MEUTE • USA/CAN 2025
Meanwhile, this is our 5th USA/Canada tour and we never get bored!!!!
This time, thanks to a corporate show in New York City, we spent a week exploring this breathtaking city before our first tour show at the sold-out Avant Gardener.
Followed by shows in beautiful Canada, in Montreal and Ottawa, which I wasn’t able to participate in because my passport with my working visa had been stolen.
Luckily, my old friend David Ben Porat was able to fill in for me. This meant that I could enjoy my train ride with Amtrak to Chicago.
With the band back in the States, we headed to Denver (Mission Ballroom) via Chicago (House of Blues) for the 1st weekend of Coachella.
We then had a 21-hour drive to Seattle in our tour buses for a last-minute gig at KEXP the morning after.
Actually the trip wasn’t that bad as it sounds…….
Three more gigs in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland, and we had a nice tour finale at the 2nd Coachella weekend.
Contrary to custom on this tour, our backline was transported to the first and after last gig via a freight agent, so we only had to take care of our personal luggage at the airport.
What a comfort!
And, as always, I enjoyed the trip with my two friends: the Brompton and my wonderful Leica Q.
Hopefully everything will remain stable over there for our 6th tour in the future!
